It appears I become more sensitive in the moonlight. And it’s this sensitivity – the ignition of my emotions by the moonlight – that I was seeking to explore in this Moonlight series of paintings. I sought to make a statement on behalf of all women who are struggling to assert themselves and rise above the periods of darkness, victimization and social prejudice in their lives.
