As a painter, I choose to celebrate the beauty of the female body not only by portraying it but also by juxtaposing it with colorful balls to create an atmosphere of excitement, curiosity and uniqueness.
Especially here in Canada, I am fascinated by the seasonal changes. Each season, nature delivers a distinct new set of environmental forces that inevitably influence our emotions and the choice of color we use as an artist.
It is these emotional changes that I seek to reflect with color in this Four Seasons series: The resurgence that Spring delivers; Summer’s fantasy; Autumn’s maturity and Winter’s slumber.
The playful spirit of Summer is also portrayed in the cheerful family beach season that forms part of this series.
